I didn't hold up much hope for this remake of a pretty cheesy horror classic, but after watching this trailer I must admit that I'm pretty intrigued. It looks like it actually has a Jaws-like kind of aura to it. I'm probably giving it too much credit by saying that, but watch the trailer and see what you think.
From director Alexandre Aja comes the new action thriller Piranha 3D. Every year the population of sleepy Lake Victoria explodes from 5,000 to 50,000 for Spring Break; a riot of sun and drunken fun. But this year, there's something more to worry about than hangovers and complaints from local old timers; A new type of terror is about to be cut loose on Lake Victoria. After a sudden underwater tremor sets free scores of the prehistoric man-eating fish, an unlikely group of strangers must band together to stop themselves from becoming fish food for the area's new razor-toothed residents. Piranha is scheduled to be released in razor sharp (get it?) 3D on August 27. With a cast that includes Jaws alumnus Richard Dreyfuss as well as Ving Rhames, Elisabeth Shue, Christopher Lloyd, and Jerry O'Connell, it looks to have some acting muscle as well as special effects. Oh, and check out the picture below which is one more reason to see this film.
It's Girls Gone Wild in the movie Piranha.

A movie that will make Avatar look primitive by comparison I'm sure.
