"She's Out Of My League" - Funniest Trailer So Far This Year.

shesoutofmyleague

Do you consider yourself to be just an average Joe who doesn't stand a chance in hell of dating a perfect 10?  Does the thought of even talking to a beautiful woman cause you to get knots in your stomach, tongue-tied, and find that you start sweating profusely?  What if that perfect 10 makes the first move on you, thanks to meeting purely by chance?

This is pretty much what happens to Kirk, the average Joe that I was talking about who just can't believe his luck.  Though he's stuck in a dead-end job as an airport security agent, against all odds Molly (Alice Eve), a successful and outrageously gorgeous babe falls for him. Kirk is stunned and so are his friends, family and even his ex-girlfriend. Now he has to figure out how to make the relationship work, even though he's the first to admit, She's Out of My League.

When I watch these movie trailers, deciding what to post, I am usually by myself, and when I watch a comedy trailer any humor I find in one, I can almost always contain the laughter from within.  It takes a lot to make me laugh out loud when I'm by myself.  This redband trailer for "She's Out Of My League" did just that.  And not just once, but several times.

Two scenes that really stood out was the 'meet the family for dinner' scene, where one of the brothers (I assume) asks Molly, who is an event planner, how much she would get to orchestrate a rating.  The reaction of the family when she answers is priceless.

The other is quite crude and involves the art of a man shaving his genitals.  If you don't like your humor downright dirty, perhaps that scene would not be for you.

I liked everything about this trailer, and I'm guessing that when it is released on March 12, I will like the film as well.  Maybe "The Hangover" has set a new trend as to the comedies we will be seeing for awhile.  Kind of what you got back in the early '80s when "Porkys" was a hit.  However, I don't think "She's Out Of My League" is attempting to ride on the coattails of "The Hangover" as it surely must of been already in production when it hit theaters.

Jay Baruchel, Alice Eve, and T.J. Miller head the cast of "She's Out Of My League".  I would shave my genital area if I could go to an advance screening of this film.  (Just kidding).

Incidentally, I went to the IMDB page of Alice Eve and didn't recognize a single project that she has been in other than the fact that she will appear in "Sex And The City 2".  Jay Baruchel has appeared in quite a few films/TV series including "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian where he played Sailor Joey Motorola, "Knocked Up" as Jay, and in two episodes of "Numb3rs" as Oswald Kittner.  If this film doesn't boost the career of Alice Eve, nothing will.

Since you are now probably anxious to see this trailer, here it is  (Reminder - this redband trailer is only for mature audiences over the age of seventeen.  Kids, watch this trailer only with your parents permission):

And now, if you're like me, you'll be rushing to the theater the weekend that it opens to see it.   Until that opens though, go to the official website for the movie.  You yourself can get rated.
