Doogie Howser M.D. - The Blog-o-Rama Thanksgiving Show A Day

The Big Sleep...Not!

Doogie Howser, M.D. was a television comedy-drama starring Neil Patrick Harris as a brilliant doctor who also faces the problems of being a normal teenager. ABC aired the show from September 1989 to March 1993 for four seasons totaling 97 episodes.  Of course now we know Harris for his role on How I Met Your Mother, as well as his excellent stints this year as host of the Tony and Emmy Awards.

This of course was his first major role, and it was extremely funny.  Presented here is the Thanksgiving episode from season four.  As Thanksgiving approaches, Vinnie suffers from insomnia brought on by stress. Doogie fears that he is becoming a workaholic.

The role of Vinnie was played by Max Casella.   His parents were played by James Sikking and Belinda Montgomery.  The show was created by Stephen Bochco and David E. Kelley.

You can watch all 97 episodes at Hulu.com.  Click on their name to go there.
