Watch The Teaser Trailer Here.
We all know the rut that Shyamalan has been in lately. It seems that his last few movies have all been DOA and that the critics have literally sliced him to pieces, so much in fact that I now find myself wanting to root for him to make a comeback with a big hit. Maybe his latest production, "The Last Airbender" will do just that. It's definitely different from anything else he has ever done, and judging by this teaser trailer, may be just what he needs to get his career back on track.

Avatar: The Last Airbender was an American animated
television series that aired for three seasons on Nickelodeon and the Nicktoons Network. The series was created and produced by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, who served as executive producers along with Aaron Ehasz.
The series followed the adventures of the main protagonist
Aang and his friends, who must save the world by defeating the Fire Lord and ending the destructive war with the Fire Nation.

Obviously there was a lot of respect and a large following for the television show and now Shyamalan must make sure he doesn't destroy the material he has been given. This time, I don't think he will. The film is scheduled to debut next year on July 2. With that release date, Paramount must be expecting this to be their Transformers for next year.

TrailerAddict.com gives this brief description about the film:
The story follows the adventures of Aang, a ten year old successor to a long line of Avatars, who must put his childhood ways aside and stop the Fire Nation from enslaving the Water, Earth and Air nations.
