Open Up Your Hearts.

The following is published on my sister's sponsorship page for the Susan G. Komen Race For The Cure. The Las Vegas Race is on May 3 and she is way behind on donations. I know the economy is bad, but anything you can donate to the cause would be greatly appreciated. Please be a sponsor by going here.

One in eight women will be stricken with breast cancer in her lifetime. The Komen Southern Nevada Race for the Cure® raises money to fund education, screening and treatment programs for these women and thousands of others in our own community and supports the national search for a cure.
The Komen Race for the Cure® Series is the largest series of 5K run/ walks in the world. Since its origination in Dallas in 1983, the Komen Race for the Cure® Series has grown from one local race with 800 participants to an international series of 117races with more than 1.3 million participants.

PLEASE SUPPORT ME IN THE RACE ! ! !

JOIN THE FIGHT AGAINST BREAST CANCER TODAY! EVERY STEP COUNTS!
I am participating in the Race with the hopes of raising as much money as possible to provide for research programs in our area.

I have been a supporter of the LV Race For The Cure for over 5 years, becoming involved because I had several co-workers who were affected by this disease.

This year it has really hit close to home. A member of our family who we love very much was just diagnosed with breast cancer this past month and will undergo surgery on Wednesday, April 16th.emma Please keep Emma and my brother Paul and their family in your prayers. I will be there for them every step of the way, one day at a time.

We all need to join together and do whatever it takes to fight this disease and to be there to support those we love.

Thank you for your support and Prayers.

Emma and Paul

PLEASE PRAY FOR PAUL & EMMA AND THEIR FAMILY

My brother Paul's wife Emma, was diagnosed about a month ago and will undergo surgery on Wednesday, April 16th. I plan on being there for them each and every day.

Paul and Emma have grown children and also a 12 year old son Tyler, who loves his mom and dad very much. Paul works at Bellagio and Emma works at Circus-Circus. They are very caring and kind people who are always there to help others whenever they can.

Please keep them in your prayers.

A Personal Update: The lymph node dissection that was performed at the time of the mastectomy showed that there was cancer in them. Emma will now begin the arduous journey of chemo and possibly radiation therapy. We will meet with her medical oncologist next week and he will help decide the type of chemo treatment. Once again I will keep you updated.

I was going to call tonight but didn't know if you were back at work or what was what. I'll try tomorrow. Your thoughts are still with us.
