We Turn Our Blog Over To Orlando For A Bit

Me and Mrs. Riesen2b just returned from Orlando where we spent a week celebrating our anniversary. I have so many videos to post and so many photos, that for a while this blog is in the control of Orlando, Florida and Walt Disney World.

This first video is unedited footage of Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom in the WDW Resort. Listen to the audio to hear where I lost my son's (he works at Disney World) hat. It's kind of funny.

This is just the start of this blog being a travelogue for a bit. We just got back tonight, but I wanted to give you a taste of what's in store.

Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!

Well, actually it looked like one abominable snowman, or was it a yet? Or maybe it was the Legend of Boggy Creek. Anyway, I was scared there for a while, but I'm okay for now.

Next time I want to go.

It was a yeti. The ride went to fast to capture the huge animatronic yeti at the end of the last tunnel. All I caught was a blur of lights. It's pretty awesome though. All of Disney World was pretty awesome, although for all the hype and praise other people gave Epcot, I was somewhat underwhelmed with their attractions. The one standout there is Soarin', a copy of the ride at California Adventures. Unfortunately, it is so popular, that the lines were extremely long (over an hour) and the fast passes ran out quickly. We picked up a fast pass at 10 in the morning and our ride wasn't until four in the afternoon. As a comparison, the longest wait on any other ride was 5-10 minutes, with the longest being Test Track (a highly overrated ride) being 20 minutes.

Well, that don't sound bad at all. I'm glad you had a great time and look forward to seeing more videos.
