For those who are not familiar with the phrase "give you the willies", that is something we used to say when I was a lot younger. It means to give you chills, goose bumbs, make your hair stand up, give you the creeps and so on and so forth. I don't get that very often anymore when watching horror movies because most of them are just your typical slasher movie or borderline torture porn (think SAW and Hostel) and usually just create new ways to depict people getting slaughtered rather than generating many real scares. So, when I come across a movie that, like I said, "gives me the willies", I like to tell people about it.
How I discovered the movie "Shattered Lives", is kind of interesting. I was looking through my rather pathetic list of followers on my Twitter account {riesen2bs} when I came across someone that I didn't recognize. That persons name was Lindsey Leino. On her Twitter profile her background is pasted with the poster for Shattered Lives, and as I soon discovered, she was one of the actresses in the movie.
After I went to YouTube and watched the trailer, which is pretty scary by itself, I rented the film through Netflix, paying no attention to the rather negative reviews (I like to decide for myself, thank you). By the way, the reviews at Amazon, where people purchased the DVD is currently 4 out of 5 stars.
