With a cute alien and some meany aliens, "They Came From Upstairs" is a comedy for the younger set. Advertised as "From The Studio That Brought You Alvin And The Chipmunks", the film uses live actors as the humans and CGI created characters as the aliens.

Trailer Addict gives the following plot description:

A group of children attempt to defend their Maine vacation home from invading extraterrestrial forces as the malevolent aliens make their way from the upper floor of the house to the ground level. First-time feature filmmaker Thor Freudenthal directs a script penned by British scribe Mark Burton (Wallace & Gromit). High School Musicals Ashley Tisdale stars in the 20th Century Fox production, with Tim Meadows and Gillian Vigman filling out the rest of the cast.

With Ashley Tisdale in the movie and cute little cartoon-like aliens, prepare yourself to be dragged to the movie theater by your young 'uns on February 13, 2009.
