Don't Hold Your Breath

I heard on the radio today that a cockroach can hold it's breath for 40 minutes (it was an ad for Orkin Pest Control). Hearing this made me think of this question.

If Shelley Winters was a cockroach, would she have lived and not been slobbered all over by Gene Hackman in The Poseidon Adventure?

Hillary At The Hall

Hillary Clinton made a stop at the Culinary Union Hall in Las Vegas today and gave a really effective talk. By the huge turnout for her, and by the manner in which she expresses herself, it's easy to see why she is the front runner. I planned on getting video of her, but forgot to bring fresh batteries for the video. I ended up with only these two pics from my camera phone.

My Better Half

My better half, of course, is my wife Emma. Her real first name is Maxima (she can't stand it) and we have been married for over 11 years. She came into my life at a point when my life was at it's lowest, and has been my rock and best friend ever since.
