Based on a true story, this new film by writer-director Nora Ephron is her adaptation of two best selling books. One book is My Life In France by Julia Childs and the other is Julie & Julia by Julie Powell. Based on two true stories, 'Julie & Julia' intertwines the lives of two women who, though separated by time and space, are both at loose ends...until they discover that with the right combination of passion, fearlessness and butter, anything is possible. Meryl Streep once again gives an amazing performance, this time as Julia Childs, known on television as "The French Chef" even though she wasn't French.
The film is slated to hit theaters on August 7, 2009.
I actually met her about a year before her death when she visited the Buffet at Bellagio in Las Vegas. There are more photos of Streep and Adams after the video.
