Saturn Awards Nominees Announced: Dark Knight Garners 11 Noms
Member of the Boxxet Network of Blogs, Videos and Photos
The Saturn Award is an award presented annually by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films to honor the top works in science fiction, fantasy, and horror in film, television, and home video. The Saturn Awards were devised by Dr. Donald A. Reed, who felt that films within those genres were never given the appreciation they deserved.
With eleven nominations, "The Dark Knight" leads the field of contenders for the 35th Annual Awards, after pretty much being snubbed by the highly predictable, dreadfully boring Academy Awards.
The blockbuster Batman movie will compete with "Changeling," "Gran Torino," "Quantum of Solace," "Traitor" and "Valkyrie" for best action/adventure/thriller film.
