I have been getting so many page views on an article I put up earlier this month about the death of Miss October Playmate 1992, Tiffany Sloan. The question that was on most people's mind was the cause of death for this beautiful young woman who died at the age of 35.
I finally came across a post at a website called Freethought Forum from someone who used to know her. While I can't give definite confirmation that this was truly the cause of her death, the poster says that it was from a drug overdose.
The poster, Miss Lady Shea, had this to say:
Another weird coincidence, a first name/location combo on Tiffany's obituaryguestbook was familiar to me, so I took a stab and looked her up on Facebook, and asked if she was my old friend with a new last name. Sure was. I had mentioned her last week to a mutual friend, wondering how she was.
Anyway, she confirmed that Tiffany ODd, probably purposefully, on prescription meds of some kind. She had been hospitalized for pancreatitis, had a drinking problem, and attempted suicide before. What a sad waste.
You can follow the entire thread on this subject at Freethought Forum by clicking here.
The obituary for Tiffany, which appeared in The Las Vegas Review Journal, said only this:
TIFFANY SLOAN Tiffany Marie Sloan, 35, a model, of Las Vegas, passed away Nov. 1, 2008. She was born May 29, 1973, in Orange County, Calif., and had resided in Las Vegas for 17 years. Tiffany was destined to shine. She was named Playboy Magazine's Playmate of the Month in October 1992, and continued on with her modeling and numerous television guest appearances. Her kindness and irresistible charm drew in the countless friends she had made. Tiffany will be missed by them all. Services are pending.
If you go to the obituary post at the Review-Journal, you can sign her memorial book.
One final thought. I found this poem at Poetry.com. It was written this year by Tiffany Marie Sloan. Although I can't confirm that it is definitely this Tiffany, the poem sounds haunting when you consider what others have posted about her cause of death. If this is her, it truly sounds like her heart was aching.
She Won.....
How could you dare?
I thought you cared?
I thought I knew you better,
well now that doesn't matter..
Your freaking insane,
you brough back SO much pain.
I loved you and I did everything for you. But what did you do?
I ran back to you more than once.
But now it's over and i'm done. She finally won.......

Thankyou so much for the info. Myself and several friends were very close to Tiffany a long time ago. We have tried to find out why this happened but have had no contact with her or any of her friends or family for some time. If anybody remembers me, Shannon, please correspond with me. I would be very grateful Thanks
if there is anyone that wants to talk about anything? here is my e-mail wayne.parks1973@gmail.com to tiffany's friends and family. i'm opening my heart to you all. i love you all very much.
Tiffany and her brother Steve were roommates of ours briefly in the early nineties. They were wild, funny, beautiful and kind. Tiffany's sense of humor is probably the most unknown gift she possessed. You never knew what she might say to the car next to you at a stoplight. We miss you Tiffany and those late nights at Dylan's. -KD
dow... I workey with Tiffany in the late 90's at Club Paradise. She was always so popular and a good friend of mine. The only reason I looked her up is because I just saw the ep of Married With Children which was filmed when I knew her. This is such tragic information and I just can't believe it! I hope she rests in peace and it just goes to show that no matter how much you have, you can still not be happy enough to take your own life.

I also knew Tiffany from the late 90's at Club Paradise. She was definitely a beacon in a sea of darkness. She was that rare combination of gorgeous and funny. I miss her dearly.

How have you been? If this is the same Wendy I used to know from CP:)

I WENT TO JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL WITH TIFFANY. SHE WAS ONE OF MY BEST FRIENDS BACK THEN. SHE WAS BY FAR ONE OF THE KINDEST PEOPLE IVE EVER MET. I WISH WE HAD STAYED IN TOUCH. BEEN TRYING TO FIND HER BROTHER STEVE BUT HAVENT BEEN ABLE TO YET. I MISS HER DEARLY
nice tits
so tragic such a beautiful young woman
It’s sad that such a beautiful soul had to leave us way too soon!
Tiffany was one of my junior high students and she stopped to visit me years later when I was teaching at a community college. She had grown to be an absolutely stunning woman who, unfortunately, was consumed by inter demons. I had kept up with her through friends of hers and had heard of her downward spiral. It broke my heart to learn of her suicide, and I still think of her often and especially every Halloween because that’s when her pain had become unbearable. Hard to believe that we’re approaching the tenth anniversary of her death. I will never forget her kindness.
I wanted to tell Steven I'm very sorry to here about Tiffany. I was friends of theirs in Bullhead City.
Hi Garrett and Wendy c/o Tiffany Sloan
