New Trailer For "Kick Ass" Literally Kicks Ass.
Ever since they released the clips of Hit Girl from the movie "Kick Ass", I have been waiting in anticipation for Lionsgate to release a full length trailer of the movie. And now that they have, I have to say, they didn't disappoint. The whole movie looks like it is going to rock, although I still think that "Hit Girl" is going to be the breakout superhero star of this film which, by the way, also stars Nicholas Cage in a costume that looks a lot like Batman.
Kick Ass will premiere on April 16, and besides Cage also stars Chloe Moretz, Aaron Johnson, Christopher Mintz, Clark Duke, and Mark Strong.
Kick-Ass tells the story of average teenager Dave Lizewski (Aaron Johnson), a comic-book fanboy who decides to take his obsession as inspiration to become a real-life superhero. As any good superhero would, he chooses a new name -- Kick-Ass -- assembles a suit and mask to wear, and gets to work fighting crime. There's only one problem standing in his way: Kick-Ass has absolutely no superpowers. His life is forever changed as he inspires a subculture of copy cats, is hunted by assorted violent and unpleasant characters, and meets up with a pair of crazed vigilantes, including an 11-year-old sword-wielding dynamo, Hit Girl (Chloe Moretz) and her father, Big Daddy (Nicolas Cage).
Watch the trailer:
"The A Team" Remake Trailer. Looks Pretty Convincing.
After watching the just released trailer for "The A Team", I would have to say that it looks like this film is being made true to the spirit of the original TV show. Unlike most TV shows that end up as movies, this one is played pretty straight forward, with no hint of parody or sarcasm being poked at the original show. In fact, it looks like the actors in this film are all true to the characters that originally appeared in the television series.
The film cast includes Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Sharlto Copley, Jessica Biel, Quinton Jackson, and Yul Vazquez. Watch the trailer and see for yourself. It's explosive.

Best "Fails" of 2009
I don't usually waste my readers time with videos of silly accidents that you see on TV or on YouTube. However, I found this one on The Huffington Post and found it so outlandish that I thought you would be upset if I didn't share it. Some of this stuff is pretty outrageous and will have you laughing your butt off. Some of it is going to make you wince. Whatever it does for you, you're not going to be disappointed by this one.

Catch Up On "Lost" Before The Final Season Starts.
Don't be shocked when I admit to you that I have never watched a single episode of "Lost" which will begin it's sixth and final season on February 2. Knowing that it was a serialized show, and missing the beginning of it, I never wanted to start watching it and then have to guess what had happened in the past. Also, I never bought any of the seasons on DVD because I don't like spending that much money on something that I may or may not like.
Well, now all of that has been resolved thanks to ABC and Hulu.Com. (ABC is one of the investors of Hulu). They have now posted 101 episodes of the first five seasons online. So, if like me you have never watched them, or, if you missed an episode or two or even an entire season, now is your chance to catch up on whatever you may have missed before what everyone is promising to be the last and best season of ABC's hit series.
The video I'm posting here is of course the very first episode, since for me, once I begin watching it is where I will have to start. It is part one of the pilot episode and first aired on September 22, 2004. You can go to this ABC page to get a quick 8 minute and 15 second recap of the entire series. That will keep you from having to watch the 100+ episodes to catch yourself up. You'll find the video below right after the list of actors.
ABC's LOST explores the destiny of the passengers of Oceanic Flight 815 who crashed on an island. The survivors not only have to rely on each other, but also cope with the secrets the mysterious island holds. Some become friends, others enemies and some stories remain to be told. There's much more than meets the eye, as it becomes apparent that everyone is somehow connected and that everyone has a purpose.
Some of the cast members as well as the producers of Lost are:

About season five, ABC has this posted on their web site:
The latest season of LOST definitely ended with a bang. Like, literally. A nuclear bang. That kaboom sets the stage for the final season, and we're counting the days for the Premiere Event Tuesday February 2nd 8/7c.
The show has always been teasing us with mysteries, but we do know some things. The island is always moving and it contains a pocket of powerful electromagnetic energy. That energy caused Oceanic 815 to crash. Fate, or maybe Jacob, seems to have brought all the passengers together. But then they all got separated, either by getting rescued from the island or by traveling through time or maybe it was a little of both. And now Jack Shephard (Matthew Fox) is rallying the survivors to rewrite their fates by preventing their plane from crashing in the first place. Oh, and we also know that a lot of you prefer Sawyer (Josh Holloway) to wear only his trademark sneer rather than a shirt.
Some of you were also probably thinking that LOST exec producers/masterminds Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse were making everything up as they went along. But after five seasons, everything is coming together into a grand master plan. And since Season 6 is the final season, start preparing for your mind to be blown because they're gonna have to tie up all those loose ends and pay things off with some answers. Pretty monumental, right? Or, to quote Hurley (Jorge Garcia),"Duuuude."

A View From The Top - The Burj Khalifa In Dubai
I'm sure most of you have heard about the opening of the world's new tallest building in Dubai. What I'm sure most of you haven't seen is a video from the top of the world's new tallest building in Dubai. If heights make you squeamish, you may want to skip this one. The Stratosphere Tower here in Las Vegas, as less than have of Burj Khalifa's height is enough for me in person. On film though, the views from this tower are absolutely amazing. I found this video on YouTube on the page of ImreDubai.
At 1:50 into the video you will see a pond with fountains that aren't operating. Those fountains were designed and operate in the same manner as the fountains at Bellagio Resort in Las Vegas. I believe that these shoot higher than the ones at Bellagio, but definitely not above the top of the building, like Bellagio's do.
They also posted some interesting facts about the building:
On the top of the Burj Khalifa's spire 828 m (aka Burj Dubai) video by Imre Solt , 31 December 2009

CoxGomyl is now commissioning the final systems on the higest building in the world the 818 Meter Burj Dubai. ( http://www.coxgomyl.com )
A total of 18 machines have been delivered to the building and the higest operating BMU in the world working at 715 meters
Fact Sheet - Burj Dubai
Currently the worlds tallest building and tallest man-made structure, Burj Dubai is at the centre of Downtown Burj Dubai, the flagship mega-project of Emaar Properties in Dubai. The final height of the tower will be revealed on its completion in 2009.
With a development value of over US$1 billion, Burj Dubai, when completed, will fulfil all the criteria of the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH), which ranks the worlds tallest buildings on the basis of spire height, the highest occupied floor, roof height and pinnacle height.
At a current height of over 800 metres (2,625 ft), Burj Dubai has now also scaled over 160 levels, the most number of storeys in any building in the world. Burj Dubai has already surpassed the height of the KVLY-TV mast in North Dakota, USA - 628.8 metres (2,063 ft), which held the distinction of being the worlds tallest man-made structure. Burj Dubai is taller than Taipei 101 in Taiwan, which at 508 metres (1,667 ft) has held the tallest-building-in-the-world title since it opened in 2004. The tower also surpassed the 31-year-old record of CN Tower, which at 553.33 metres (1,815.5 ft) has been the worlds tallest free-standing structure on land since 1976.
Leveraging on the advancements in construction engineering, Burj Dubai undertook height enhancement in 2008 and is also upgrading its interior finishes. International designers from California have revisited the designs to make the residences more attractive and functionally superior.
In just 1,325 days since excavation work started in January, 2004, Burj Dubai became the tallest free-standing structure in the world. More than 11,000 consultants and skilled construction workers are employed on site, and the worlds fastest high-capacity construction hoists, with a speed of up to 2 m/sec (120 metres/min), were used to move men and materials.
When completed, the tower will have used 330,000 cubic meters of concrete, 39,000 metric tons of steel rebar and 142,000 sq m of glass and 22 million man hours.
The design inspiration for Burj Dubai is drawn from the desert flower, Hymenocalis, and incorporates patterning systems that are embodied in Islamic architecture. The tower is designed as three petals arranged around a central core. As the tower rises from the flat base, the petals setback in an upward-spiraling pattern.
Burj Dubais structure has employed the latest advances in wind engineering, structural engineering, structural systems, construction materials and construction methods. It will have a high performance exterior cladding system to withstand the harsh summer temperatures.
A mixed-use tower, Burj Dubai features 2 million sq ft of residential and over 220,000 sq ft of prime business space, in addition to the Armani Hotel Dubai, and Armani Residences Dubai, luxury hospitality ventures by Emaar in association with haute couture major Giorgio Armani S.p.A.
The tower offers recreational facilities and entertainment venues including four luxurious pools and a cigar club, a library, exclusive residents lounge, serviced residences, fitness facilities and an observatory deck on level 124, At The Top opening to impressive views of Dubai. The tower will also have a large Office Annexure.

What's New On Your Television Set?
With the first of the year now past us and nearly a month of reruns almost history, I thought it was time to take a look at what's ahead for television in the near future. While this article is not meant to be comprehensive, it is some of the stories that most interest me.
TV LAND CHOOSES CAST FOR GEORGE SEGAL PILOT.
I used to like TV Land most when it was nothing more than reruns of your favorite shows from Yesteryear. In the past year or so what used to be my favorite channel for retro TV (remember when they even showed old commercials?), in order to attract a rider range and larger number of viewers, has begun showing and reshowing their own original programming, most of which has been reality based sludge. I don't see the connection between great 60's sitcoms and dramas, and specifically "My High School Reunion", which deals mainly with the salacious affairs generated among those who never realized their dreams from their youth. The show itself is sleazy, narcissistic, and especially boring.
This leads us to a pilot that TV Land is now filming, which stars George Segal. The show is called "Retired At 35". Jonathan McClain will star as David, a successful businessman from New York who decides to leave the pressures of the big city and move into his father Alan's (George Segal) Florida retirement home.
Casey Wilson, who was unexpectedly dropped last year from the cast of Saturday Night Live, returns to television in the role of David's sister. Jessica Walter, formerly a castmember of "Arrested Development", will portray David's mom. Meanwhile, Christine Ebersole will be a love interest for Segal's character.
Besides "Retired At 35", TV Land is also making another sitcom pilot called "Hot In Cleveland". It has yet to be cast. This will be TV Land's first endeavor at original scripted series. Let's hope they are better than their reality based dreck.
Part-time Gig Becomes Full-Time Role For Kim Raver.
Showing up in the ninth episode of "Grey's Anatomy" for what was originally intended as a guest starring role for actress Kim Raver has turned into full time employment at Seattle Grace Hospital, the setting for the ABC hit. The former "Lipstick Jungle star portrays Teddy Altman, a new cardio surgeon brought in by her former Army colleague Owen (Kevin McKidd). She quickly stirred things up by professing her feelings for Owen, laying the groundwork for a love triangle with him and Christina (Sandra Oh). She is expected to be in all but one of the remaining shows for this season.
Raver joins Kevin McKidd and Jessica Capshaw as the newest regulars to the show this season. They too were originally brought on the show as recurring roles before being added to the series regular cast.
Kevin "Southland" Alejandro Joins "True Blood" Cast
Kevin Alejandro, currently the co-star of cop drama "Southland", will be joining the cast of HBO's vampire drama "True Blood". He is expected to appear in almost every episode of the third season of creator Alan Ball's hit series, which stars Anna Paquin.
Alejandro will play Jesus, a Latino orderly who is taking care of Ruby Jean Reynolds (Alfre Woodard) at her care facility and becomes involved with her son, Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis). Alejandro continues to be attached as a regular to "Southland," which will air on TNT after being dropped by ABC before any second season episodes ever aired.
Because of TNT's plan to air the already produced episodes of the show before making a decision whether to order a second season, Alejandro can accommodate "Blood" while keeping his obligation to "Southland." Other new castmembers for "True Blood" include Denis O'Hare, Marshall Allman, Theo Alexander, Grant Bowler, Joe Manganiello and Lindsay Pulsipher.
Spoilers For "Chuck" Season Three
This list of spoilers for "Chuck" comes from BuddyTV.Com. I am most looking forward to Kristin Kreuk (formerly Smallville's Lana Lang) appearing in several episodes as a love interest for Chuck Bartowski (Zachary Levi). If these are all true, it will make for a really great season. Incidentally, it seems that Fox is attempting to take the wind out of Chuck's sails by programming a new episode of "House" against The spy comedy when it returns to it's time slot on January 11th. Hopefully, the fans who flocked to Subway to save Chuck from cancellation will tune in and Chuck will at last get some decent
ratings.
-
The new season picks up right after the end of season 2 thus Chuck is still new to his abilities.
-
Chuck will be crushing on a new Buy More employee in the form of Kristin Kreuk.
-
When Ellie and Awesome move out of the apartment, Chuck and Morgan get their own bachelor pad.
-
The only female member of the Nerd Herd will be "MIA" during season 3's first 13 episodes, but there's a chance she could pop up in the last six. Nevertheless, her absence at Buy More will be referenced early in the season.
-
The 10th episode of Chuck's third season entitled "Chuck vs. the Tic Tac" will feature a Casey-centric storyline which involves the arrival of Colonel Keller. Apparently, Casey will do something really bad that could cost him his job.
-
Cast member Ryan McPartlin isn't sure if his character will eventually be turned into a spy but he is certain that he's getting more involved in the world of espionage.
-
Expect more shirtless scenes beginning episode 3, which is a Captain Awesome-centric episode.
-
Part of Captain Awesome's storyline this season is learning how to keep Chuck's secret. "I feel like it's amazing because it's like the first season, when Chuck got to carry the weight of the secret. I get to bring that [spirit of the] first season back again, through Awesome's eyes. And I'm just gonna lean on [Sarah and Chuck] for advice on how to do that," Ryan McPartlin reveals to Eonline.com.
-
There's a chance that Bryce Larkin may live to see another day. According to Eonline.com, Bryce could return to spice things up a little. Even Bryce's portrayer, Matthew Bomer, hints of his possible return though "it's really going to depend on scheduling [with White Collar]."
