Hey Web Swingers! Here Are Four Videos From Marvel About Spidey On Broadway!

Spider-ManImage via Wikipedia

Hey Spiderman fans! If you are a true Spiderman fan then you already know that our web-slinging hero is coming to Broadway next year in a show called "Spiderman: Turn Off The Dark". And here are four new behind-the-scenes videos for "Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark," featuring interviews with Julie Taymor, Bono and The Edge.

Webheads, get ready to experience the exploits of your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man in an entirely new, exciting way when "Spider-Man, Turn Off the Dark" opens on Broadway! Julie Taymor, as some may remember, is the genius that brought "The Lion King" to Broadway as well as directing the awesome film that was filled with Beatles music, "Across The Universe". Although not a big box office hit, it is one of my favorite films.

Mark your calendars now. Some lucky Broadway goers will get to see "Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark" when preview performances begin February 25, 2010 at Broadway's Hilton Theatre, 213 West 42nd Street.

Tickets for "Spider-Man Turn Off The Dark" are now on sale exclusively for American Express® cardmembers at Ticketmaster.com, by calling 1-800-745-3000, or at all Ticketmaster outlets.

Tickets for "Spider-Man" will go on sale to the general public on Saturday, September 12 via Ticketmaster.com.

In the meantime, take a look behind the scenes with these videos:

Sacred 2: Fallen Angel Review: Experience Required.

If you aren't that experienced with role playing games, such as Sacred 2: Fallen Angel, like me you are going to have a slow go at trying to figure out exactly what you are doing and what your goals are. But, with patience, you will find yourself having a fun, exciting, and challenging gaming experience. The first few times I tried playing the game, I admit that it was somewhat intimidating as I couldn't quite figure out what the heck I was supposed to be doing. Finally, I decided to sit down and give it a shot, come hell or high water.
sacred 360

The aim of Sacred Angel 2 is to offer a gigantic world for you to run around, whack stuff with weapons and spells, grab the loot it drops, and repeat. Sound kind of boring? Well, Sacred Angel is far from it, due mainly to the previously mentioned gigantic world that I previously mentioned.

Sacred Angel delivers on those elements as well as offering up six interesting character classes to build and customize however you see fit. So if you're looking for a good old-fashioned loot grind to play by yourself or with others online, this game will meet your goals.

Here is the basic gameplay. You click mouse buttons to attack foes, hack away at their power bars, quaff potions, against hard-hitting boss characters, and scoop up all the cash and loot that those who have fallen spill onto the battlefield. Sacred 2 does manage to distinguish itself in a few ways from the other types of high-fantasy, action RPGs out there.

The game world, Ancaria, is incredibly massive. There is great detail in this world that you journey through. Yet mixed into this seemingly standard high-fantasy universe , you get this strange magical substance, called T-Energy. This T- Energy lends itself to some of the more interesting bits of the storyline. You'll be walking across a field of trees and green grass and suddenly see a pipeline jutting from the earth carrying this glowing blue energy that's the source of conflict in Ancaria.

It offers a huge world to explore, tons of loot, plenty of monster types, and lots of ways to customize its six character classes. After spending many, many hours playing this game, only one a a mere handful that I have tried in my life, I concluded that this was the best of the bunch.

There were what seemed like a couple of bugs in the game, but not anything too serious that it would take away from the enjoyment of playing the game.

Overall, the blog-o-rama meter gives this one a 7.5 out of 10.

Earhart and "old Bessie" Vega 5b c. ...Image via Wikipedia

The story of Amelia Earhart is told in a lavish production that stars Hillary Swank and Richard Gere that will be released on October 23, 2009. Earhart disappeared over the pacific ocean while attempting to be the first woman to fly a plane around the world. This story also delves into the relationship she had with her husband George Putnam.

It is directed by
Mira Nair based on a script written by Ronald Bass. Bass wrote the script using several books on Earhart as sources including Susan Butler's book East to the Dawn, Mary S. Lovell's The Sound of the Wings and Elgin Long's Amelia Earhart: The Mystery Solved.
