How Geeky Are Star Trek Fans? Watch This Video From Onion News.

In the video, Star Trek fans bash the new movie for being  'fun' and 'watchable'.  These folks need to go into warp drive and face reality.  I'm sure not all Star Trek fanatics are this oddball or seriously deprived of a real life.  But the ones in this video sure are.  Watch it and see for yourself:

"The Hangover" Watch The World's Most Annoying Trailer Ever Released.

While this looks like it may be a funny movie, this trailer for "The Hangover", which arrives in theaters on June 9, is so annoying that it is almost impossible to watch all the way through.  What makes it annoying?  How about having to listen to Mike Tyson singing Phil Collins "In The Air Tonight" through almost the entire trailer.  He makes Roseanne Barr (remember her infamous national anthem rendition?) sound like Barbra Streisand.  Take a gander at it, but if your wearing headphones, turn them way down low.  This film hypes up the Vegas mystique of a wild crazy night, last played out in "What Happens In Vegas" although no one winds up married the next morning.

By the way, this movie is direct by Todd Phillips, the same person that directed "Old School" so if you liked it, you will probably enjoy this.

2nd Season Of "Nanny And The Professor" Now Available At Hulu.Com.

key_art_nanny_and_the_professor

A highly underrated show from when I was growing up, I loved this show which starred Juliet Mills and Richard Long.  Hulu has had season one up for a while, but I see that now they have season two.  Give it a try.  In this episode Nanny and the kids help an old puppeteer.

The premise of the show as posted at Wikipedia.Com:

The series starred Juliet Mills as Nanny Phoebe Figalilly, Richard Long as Professor Harold Everett, and Elsa Lanchester as Aunt Henrietta. Figalilly was apparently psychic, and had regular flashes of what was often more than intuition (she frequently knew who was ringing the doorbell before the bell even rang). There was the vague suggestion that she may have been at least several hundred years old and more than human, which the children thought they discovered in an episode after they saw a photo of Phoebe that looked like it was taken a century earlier. Figalilly watched over Professor Everett and his three children: Hal, the intellectual tinkerer, played by David Doremus, Butch, the middle child, played by Trent Lehman, and Prudence, the youngest, played by Kim Richards. Patsy Garrett had the recurring role of nosey neighbor Mrs. Fowler. Midway through the brief first season, a yellow 1930 Model A Ford, "Arabella," joined the series.

Is "One Eyed Monster" This Decades "Reanimator"?

This straight to DVD movie is a darkly comic homage to "Alien" and "The Thing".  The cast and crew of an adult film, stranded in a blizzard, must band together against a mysterious and deadly alien, which has possessed the actor with the biggest part--Ron Jeremy (naturally). Now, with the monster on a killing spree, the race is on to trap and destroy it before there are more victims of its peculiar skills.
Starring Amber Benson ("Buffy The Vampire Slayer"), Charles Napier ("Silence of the Lambs", "Rambo") and introducing Ron Jeremy.

If you know anything about the movie "Reanimator", you know all about the delicious blend of sex and way over the top gore.  It is a classic horror movie for many.  So, how will "One Eyed Monster compare?  If this trailer is any clue, it will become another classic in the same genre.

It arrives in stores on April 19, 2009.  I'm guessing you won't find it at Wal-Mart so you may want to click the link below and get it at Amazon where it is now available.

What the press has to say:

This is truly a go-anywhere non-linear open world. In fact, if you host a multiplayer game (even if you're playing solo), you'll begin near a dungeon with gates to various regions in the world, all with their quests intact, and almost all manageable thanks to enemies that scale to your character's level

When it comes to variety of environments the game never fails to impress, at various times running the gambit from forests, ice fields, deserts, and volcanic environments.

Thankfully Ascaron doesn't take these storyline rules too seriously, flouting them subtly to reassure gamers that playing Sacred 2isn't just an endurance test….Big games demand big choices, and for once you genuinely feel as though you're choosing to assail the five other races with whom you no longer wish to share the planet, rather than being goaded into epic battle.

[Sacred 2] has some quirkiness that steps outside the boundaries of trying to be immersive and instead focuses on having some fun. The game does not seem to take itself too seriously, and has enough elements to keep adventure fans happy.

I did get a chance to play the Xbox 360 version at Gen Con last summer. I came away with the impression that the controls were great.

The gameplay is really perfect for consoles....If they can manage to keep things moving fluidly and the multiplayer is as rich as it is on the PC, Sacred 2 could be one of the best multiplayer RPG experiences on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
