Dan Brown's "Angels And Demons": Watch The Trailer

"Angels And Demon's" was actually written before "The Davinci Code" and I thought it was a much more intense, thrilling, and entertaining book than the Code.  This should bode well for the movie, once again starring Tom Hanks and being released in May of '09.

TrailerAddict.com gives this description of the film:

Harvard religious expert Robert Langdon once again finds that forces with ancient roots are willing to stop at nothing, even murder, to advance their goals. Ron Howard again directs the film. When Langdon discovers evidence of the resurgence of an ancient secret brotherhood known as the Illuminati -- the most powerful underground organization in history -- he also faces a deadly threat to the existence of the secret organization's most despised enemy: the Catholic Church.
When Langdon learns that the clock is ticking on an unstoppable Illuminati time bomb, he jets to Rome, where he joins forces with Vittoria Vetra, a beautiful and enigmatic Italian scientist. Embarking on a nonstop, action-packed hunt through sealed crypts, dangerous catacombs, deserted cathedrals, and even to the heart of the most secretive vault on earth, Langdon and Vetra will follow a 400-year-old trail of ancient symbols that mark the Vatican's only hope for survival.

"Hotel For Dogs": A Lighthearted Comedy About...Dogs.

Between "Marley And Me" on Christmas Day and this film, which arrives on January 23, 2009, dog lovers everywhere should be in heaven.  And this one looks just as entertaining as "Marley And Me".

TrailerAddict.com provides this description:

Hotel for Dogs stars Emma Roberts, Jake T. Austin, Lisa Kudrow, Kevin Dillon and Don Cheadle in a smart, funny comedy adventure that shows how far love and imagination can take you. When their new guardians forbid 16-year old Andi (Roberts) and her younger brother, Bruce (Austin) to have a pet, Andi has to use her quick wit to help find a new home for their dog, Friday. The resourceful kids stumble upon an abandoned hotel and using Bruce's talents as a mechanical genius, transform it into a magical dog-paradise for Friday – and eventually for all Friday's friends. When barking dogs make the neighbors suspicious, Andi and Bruce use every invention they have to avoid anyone discovering who let the dogs in.

The Secret Of Moonacre: A Little Fantasy While You Wait For Harry Potter

This is the international trailer for "The Secret Of Moonacre", arriving in theaters on February 6, 2009.  It looks like all kinds of fantastic things happen in this one and was made by the team that created "Bridge To Terabithia".

IMDB.Com has the following plot summary for the film:

When 13 year old Maria Merryweather's father dies, leaving her orphaned and homeless, she is forced to leave her luxurious London life to go and live with Sir Benjamin, an eccentric uncle she didn't know she had, at the mysterious Moonacre Manor. Soon Maria finds herself in a crumbling moonlit world torn apart by the hatred of an ancient feud with the dark and sinister De Noir family. Maria discovers that she is the last Moon Princess and, guided by an unlikely mix of allies, she must overcome her family's pride in order to unearth the secrets of the past before the 5000th moon rises and Moonacre disappears into the sea forever.

It should keep fans of this genre happy until next July.  Watch the trailer and decide for yourself.  Incidentally, J.K. Rowling, creator of Harry Potter has been quoted as saying that "The Little White Horse", upon which this movie was created, is her favorite children's book.  See that!  There's a connection right there.

"While She Was Out" : Looks Like A Bad Christmas For Kim Basinger

Executive Producer Guillermo Del Toro brings us Kim Basinger in "While She Was Out".  It looks like in addition to marital problems, Basinger has to deal with four murderous thugs while stranded in a forest.  The film is being released on December 12, 2008 and also stars Lukas Haas.

TrailerAddict.com provides this description:

A suburban housewife (Basinger) is forced to fend for herself when she becomes stranded in a desolate forest with four murderous thugs. What starts of as a quick trip to the mall ends in the woods with a fight for her life. All she has is a will to survive.
