The Smiling Chef

She's felt so miserable lately with her chemo that it was nice to finally capture a pic of Emma smiling. It's Filipino tradition to serve Pancit on someone's birthday and she was preparing some tonight for Tyler.

Tyler Is A Teenager: My Boy Turns 13

How quickly they grow up. Seems like yesterday when Tyler came into this world. Amazing how we could have been so lucky to have such a great kid. We are blessed. Happy 13th Birthday Tyler!

Alone In The Dark Music Video And Central Park Trailers.

It doesn't get much better than this.

And here is one more. This is the Central Park Trailer. This video is crazy!

Alone In The Dark, for those who have linked directly to this post, will be released on June 24, 2008 for the Wii, Xbox 360, Playstation 2, and also for your PC. It will be arriving later this year for the Playstation 3. To read more about it, and to watch more videos go back to my homepage and read through the archives. Atari and Eden games is advancing the Action/Horror genre to a whole new level!

Here's a bonus for you. Some of the latest screenshots released showing images within Central Park. Just wonder how many of these images are recognized by New Yorkers?

Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit Super Transformation Trailer

Watch this video to see which characters have made the cut. Pretty good stuff.

Get ready to Kamehameha!

Alone In The Dark: Screenshots And Images

Rather than make you wade through a bunch of thumbnails to look at pictures from "Alone In The Dark", the fantastic new game coming later this month to the XBox 360, Wii, Playstation 2, and your PC (the Playstation 3 version will be arriving later this year), I gathered them all up and made a photovideo. The music you hear is from Olivier Deriviere, who is also doing the music for AITD. I think it turned out pretty good, but of course, as my wife often tells me, "I love my own!". At any rate, give the video a look, and then look at my other posts with the trailers for the game as well as videos of some of the gameplay. And then get to the stores on June 24 or even better, preorder from Gamestop.Com. You get a free AITD t-shirt if you do.

And All That Jazz

I thought I would toot my own horn here, or at least Tyler's trombone. After a rigorous tryout, Tyler was selected for the Clifford Lawrence Jr. High Jazz Band for the next school year. Performing at a high school level, the school's Jazz Band is noted for being one of the best in the state and traveling to performances and competitions throughout the Pacific Southwest.

This is a clip of this year's Jazz Band performing at the school's spring concert. Can't say enough of how proud I am of him. With his mom battling cancer and going through chemo, I would say it's a pretty good achievement when you have other things on your mind.

On Cancer: Losing Your Hair, Feeling Miserable And Unable To Work

Emma had her second chemo this past tuesday. On wednesday she had another injection to boost her white blood cells. She has been sick and off of work ever since. Yesterday she had planned on working but apparently had an anxiety attack and didn't go. Today she went after I assured her everything would be okay.

She was nervous to work because during this past week she had lost most of her hair. On saturday she went to the beautician and had the rest of it cut off. This is her picture.

This has been truly a hard week for her, marked mostly from sadness and depression. With Tyler's birthday arriving on June 6 and her not working most of the time we don't have the finances to celebrate it and that is weighing heavily on her mind. Also, Tyler insists that she keep her head covered at home as he doesn't want to see her with no hair. He seems to be taking it hard as well.

Tonight when she comes home I will shave her head as the stubble that is left is blotchy and hurts when she lies down.

This is Emma after her shave. Better smooth than the five o' clock shadow that the beautician gave her.

For those who have not read past posts, Emma was diagnosed with breast cancer in April and had a mastectomy as well as removal of her lymph nodes where the cancer had spread. She just had her second treatment of chemo which will continue until September.

As always, keep her in your thoughts and prayers as she truly is a special woman and truly needs it.
